Interpretation Clause Type 3

In this Agreement, unless the contrary intention appears:

(a) a reference to this Contract or another instrument includes any variation or replacement of either of them;

(b) the singular includes the plural and vice versa;

(c) a reference to a person includes a reference to the person's executors, administrators, successors, substitutes (including persons taking by novation) and assigns;

(d) if a period of time is specified and dates from a given day or the day of an actual event, it is to be calculated exclusive of that day;

(e) where an expression is defined, another part of speech or grammatical form of that expression has a corresponding meaning;

(f) headings are for reference only and do not form part of this Contract; and

(g) the words "including" and "include" mean "including, but not limited to"."
